Wyke Down Meeting - 2005 ........ 14th Spring Vehicle Meet & Autojumble Wyke Down Andover 28th March 2005 Half a dozen worthies of the Club attended Wyke Down for the above event. In some cases an early breakfast was the order of the day, and then via the back roads to the site. The weather was kind, and the middle of the day was acceptably warm. The Autojumble was of a good standard and there were a good selection of stands spread around the perimeter of the very large field. The assortment of vehicle makes and types was impressive, and in the main vehicles were parked in line in the order that they arrived. Some felt that there should have been a bit of sorting by age, but as the day wore on it was apparent that there would have been little room for sorting. Three of our lot were parked pretty close to a hearse - so perhaps there was some natural selection anyway! Motorcycles through to Traction Engines, via Fire Tenders and a London Routemaster Bus were in evidence during the day.
